Joint exhibition with Norwegian artist Marit Saxegaard in Stavern, Norway, at Sensorium Gallery.
We all love warm countries for their fine weather and gentle sunshine. Nevertheless, I accepted an invitation to take part in another exhibition organized by Sensorium Gallery in the austere yet very attractive Norwegian town of Stavern — and I did not regret it. Norway’s climate is quite moderate: spring arrives earlier than in central Russia, and there is plenty of sun as well. But, of course, the country’s greatest wealth is its people. In Norway we were welcomed, as before, with warmth and kindness, like old friends; one newspaper even called me “the Russian friend of Norway.” Those who read Norwegian can see this for themselves in the local press coverage of the exhibition. Despite the intense work, the days flew by, and it was a little sad to part with a country that is not nearly as cold as it may seem from afar. I would especially like to thank the gallery owner, Mrs. Marina Walle Jensen, and her husband, Trond Walle Jensen, for creating a magnificent atmosphere for the guests and exhibitors.
